Production Process
Seamless cold drawn steel tube adopts a two-step manufacturing process: hot-rolled rough pipe rough processing plus room-temperature cold drawing finishing process.
This cold drawing procedure is the key advantage that distinguishes our cold drawn seamless pipe from ordinary hot-finished seamless pipes (HFS).
- Hot-rolled pipe forming: Round steel billets are pierced into hollow hot-rolled capillary tubes by piercing machines, then rolled into hot-rolled rough pipes through rolling mills.
- Pre-treatment before cold drawing: Acid pickling for rust removal, phosphating and oil coating to obtain clean and smooth pipe surfaces.
- Room-temperature cold drawing: The rough pipes are drawn multiple times at room temperature to reduce outer diameter and wall thickness, and improve the surface finish and yield strength of the steel pipes.
- Heat treatment: Cold drawing causes work hardening and residual internal stress. Annealing or normalizing treatment is carried out to ensure pipe toughness.
- Sizing, finishing and flaw detection: Multi-roller rotary sizing ensures unified roundness and straightness of finished pipes, followed by polishing, end trimming, deburring and non-destructive testing.

Mainstream Delivery States
- BK: As Drawn, with anti-rust oil, silver bright surface, no annealing treatment.
- BK+S: Cold drawn and pickled, oil and oxide scale removed, matte clean surface without oil film.
- BKS: Stress relief annealing, low oxidation, soft bright surface with good plasticity.
Customized Delivery States
- GBK: Bright full annealing, mirror bright surface under protective atmosphere, no oxide scale.
- NBK: Normalizing annealing, thin oxide layer on surface with optimal plasticity.
