- ASTM A36: Structural steel standard, mainly used for steel plates, sections, and structural welded pipes. Not a dedicated pipe standard but often referenced alongside steel pipes.
- ASTM A53: The most versatile welded/seamless carbon steel pipe, suitable for water, gas, fire protection, and general piping systems.
- ASTM A106: Seamless carbon steel pipe for high-temperature service, graded A/B/C. Commonly used in boilers and superheater pipelines.
- ASTM A135: Electric resistance welded (ERW) steel pipe, designed for low-pressure liquid and gas transmission.
- ASTM A252: Steel pipe for piling applications, used in bridge and building foundation piling.
- ASTM A500: Welded steel pipe (round, square, rectangular) for structural purposes, ideal for building steel structures.

- ASTM A269: Small-diameter seamless/welded stainless steel pipe, used in instrumentation and capillary tubing.
- ASTM A778: Welded austenitic stainless steel pipe for general service.
- ASTM A790: Duplex stainless steel seamless/welded pipe (grades 2205, 2507, etc.), suitable for corrosive environments.
