Recently, a batch of high-quality custom hot-dip galvanized ERW steel pipes manufactured by Glory Steel completed production, quality inspection, packaging and container loading, and was successfully shipped to Colombia. The goods were delivered in batches with 5 x 20GP full containers.
Project Background
The client is a local professional processing factory focusing on HVAC and water supply & drainage fluid steel pipes, mainly undertaking urban municipal water supply renovation and factory water supply and drainage pipe network projects in Colombia.
The client is very experienced in pipe procurement and requires no additional product recommendation from our side.
They sent a clear material list and requested unit prices listed in the last column of the quotation sheet.
All products must meet technical parameters such as tensile strength and pressure resistance and fully comply with ASTM A53 Grade B standards.

Client Pain Points
Colombia features a tropical rainforest climate with high annual rainfall and high air humidity. Coastal areas suffer severe salt spray corrosion. HVAC and water drainage pipes are used alternately in open-air and buried environments, requiring excellent anti-corrosion performance.
The client provided rusting videos of pipes supplied by their previous vendor, and we summarized three core causes of oxidation: 1. Insufficient and uneven zinc coating; 2. Large tolerance deviation of pipe outer diameter and wall thickness; 3. Adoption of secondary-grade base materials.
To meet the standards of high-end municipal and commercial construction projects, the client compared multiple manufacturers’ qualifications and export cases through online screening and finally established cooperation with Glory Steel.
Production Process & Quality Control
All pipes of this batch adopt original prime Q235B hot-rolled steel strips as base materials. Secondary rerolled and defective steel coils are strictly prohibited to ensure stable mechanical properties of pipes from the source.
Adopting mature ERW high-frequency resistance welding technology, the welds are smooth and dense without pores or false welding.
In the galvanizing procedure, the zinc bath temperature is strictly controlled at a constant 440℃-465℃ to ensure strong and non-peeling coating adhesion.
Full-Range Inspection
Before delivery, all products undergo comprehensive tests including hydrostatic pressure test, flattening test, zinc coating thickness sampling inspection, visual flaw detection and dimensional tolerance verification. Complete test reports are provided for every batch.
Packaging & Loading
Pipes are neatly bundled with steel strips. Each bundle is clearly marked with specifications, batch number and origin information for convenient customs clearance and warehouse storage. The whole loading process is supervised by professional staff to maximize container space utilization and save logistics costs for clients. Full loading videos and photos are provided for reference.
Project Results
After arrival, the client conducted batch-by-batch inspection and confirmed that all pipes feature precise dimensional tolerance, uniform and full zinc coating without peeling or missing plating, and all pressure resistance indicators fully meet the standards.
One-stop procurement of mixed specifications completely solves the client’s long-term problem of unstable batch quality. Highly satisfied with the product quality and service, the client plans to place repeated orders for more sizes of HVAC and fire protection galvanized steel pipes.
