On June 30, 2026, Glory Steel completed the production, third-party inspection, packaging, container loading, and shipment of a batch of hot-dip galvanized ERW welded pipes for fluid transport. The total shipment of 420 metric tons was consigned to a municipal engineering project site in Lima, Peru.

Client Background
The client is based in Lima, Peru, and is an established local steel pipe processing factory. Its main business covers municipal water‑supply renovation projects for cities, fire‑protection systems for commercial buildings, and irrigation pipeline networks for farms on the northern highlands.
With extensive experience in importing steel products from China, the client intended to source large‑volume galvanized pipes from China. After viewing our production lines and capacity introduction on our official website, the client built initial trust in our company. We held several video calls for virtual factory tours, and cooperation was finally concluded.

Why is HDG ERW pipe the preferred choice for the Peruvian market?
- Favorable trade policy: Peruvian anti‑dumping duties only apply to un‑galvanized black ERW steel pipes. For galvanized pipes like this batch, tariff costs are low and customs‑clearance risks are minimal, making them the primary pipe option for local importers.
- Suitable for local working conditions: Lima’s coastal climate causes ordinary black steel pipes to rust quickly. The hot‑dip zinc coating delivers reliable corrosion protection for above‑ground and buried fluid‑transmission applications.
- Cost‑performance advantage: It costs less than seamless steel pipes and stainless‑steel pipes, while offering far better oxidation resistance than bare black pipes. ERW hot‑dip galvanized pipes deliver balanced overall performance and are widely adopted for local municipal and other projects.

Production Process
Glory Steel applies proven high‑frequency ERW resistance‑welding technology, using prime‑quality original hot‑rolled steel strip coils as raw material. Our well‑refined production line strictly follows international standards throughout slitting, longitudinal welding, weld seam conditioning, sizing, and cutting procedures.
For zinc coating, we adopt continuous hot‑dip galvanizing processing. Finished galvanized pipes feature a bright surface finish and uniform zinc‑coating thickness to guarantee long service life under Peruvian local conditions.

Packaging & Shipment
The client requested standard export‑grade, cost‑effective packaging. Pipes are neatly bundled in hexagonal formations and secured with steel straps at both ends. Each bundle is affixed with clear English‑language labels. During container loading, timber blocks are placed inside containers for levelling and protection.
The client has informed us that they have successfully delivered these GI iron pipes together with matching valves, pipe fittings, and flanges to their end‑users and received positive feedback.
