Advantages
- High Corrosion Resistance: The hot-dip galvanized coating—comprising a zinc-iron alloy layer and a pure zinc layer—provides dual, long-lasting protection for the black carbon steel pipe, ensuring a service life of 20 years or more in standard environments.
- High Versatility: We manufacture products in compliance with various standards; dimensions, tolerances, and thread specifications are globally standardized, making them suitable for a wide range of operating conditions.
- Excellent Mechanical Properties: The pipes offer good impact toughness; actual pressure-bearing capacity depends on the wall thickness grade (approximately 1.6 MPa for SCH40, with higher ratings for SCH80).
- High Cost-Effectiveness: The hot-dip galvanizing process is mature, and this specific size is a standard, high-volume market commodity, ensuring cost-efficiency.

Application
- Fire Protection: Outdoor fire hydrant supply lines and indoor ceiling sprinkler piping; these are the standard pipe materials specified for fire protection projects worldwide.
- Building Plumbing & Drainage: Rainwater drainage pipes, temporary construction site water supply lines, and non-potable water transport systems.
- Gas & Power: Residential natural gas service lines, as well as cable protection and electrical conduit pipes.
- Agriculture & Livestock: Fence posts for grassland enclosures, welded pipe materials for cattle pen panels, and horizontal rails for horse farm fencing.
- Other: Scaffolding pipes, metal supports for large municipal trees, mechanical structural components, and support structures for orchards and flower cultivation sites.

Mechanical properties of various materials
| Grade | Yield strength (MPa) | Tensile strength (MPa) | Percentage elongation after fracture A (%) |
| Grade A | ≥205 | ≥330 | ≥35 |
| Grade B | ≥240 | ≥415 | ≥30 |
| S195 | ≥195 | 320~520 | ≥20 |
| S235JR | ≥235 | 360~510 | ≥25 |
| STK400 | ≥235 | ≥400 | ≥23 |
| Ст3сп | ≥235 | 370~480 | ≥25 |
The table above lists the minimum mechanical property requirements; the galvanizing process does not alter the mechanical properties of the base material.

How are 2-inch galvanized pipes manufactured?
The overall process consists of four stages: black pipe prefabrication, pretreatment, hot-dip galvanizing, and post-treatment.
Black pipe inspection → Pickling → Fluxing pretreatment → Hot-dip galvanizing in a molten zinc bath (440–460°C) → External and internal air wiping to finish the zinc coating → Cooling and passivation → Quality inspection → Cutting to length → Bundling and warehousing
Hot-dip galvanizing process
Hot-dip galvanizing is currently the most mainstream and reliable anti-corrosion method for steel pipes; compared to electro-galvanizing (cold galvanizing), it offers a thicker zinc coating, superior adhesion, and a longer service life regarding corrosion resistance.

Weight calculation
① Calculation formula
Weight per meter (kg/m) = (Outer diameter mm – Wall thickness mm) × Wall thickness mm × 0.02466
② Specifications and weight table
| NPS | DN | Schedule No. | OD(mm) | WT(mm) | Weight per meter(kg/m) | 6m Weight(kg) |
| 2″ | DN50 | Custom | 60.3 | 2.5 | 3.53 | 21.2 |
| 2″ | DN50 | Custom | 60.3 | 3.0 | 4.24 | 25.4 |
| 2″ | DN50 | SCH40 | 60.3 | 3.2 | 4.50 | 27.0 |
| 2″ | DN50 | Custom | 60.3 | 3.5 | 4.90 | 29.4 |
| 2″ | DN50 | Custom | 60.3 | 3.6 | 5.03 | 30.2 |
| 2″ | DN50 | SCH80 | 60.3 | 4.0 | 5.55 | 33.3 |
The above calculation is based on OD 60.3mm, carbon steel density 7.85g/cm³. Weights shown refer to black bare pipe.

③ Hot-dip Galvanizing Weight Increase Coefficient
Calculated figures apply to uncoated black bare pipe. Estimated finished hot-dip galvanized pipe weight = black pipe weight × coefficient c.
| Wall thickness (mm) | Coefficient c |
| 2.0 | 1.064 |
| 2.5 | 1.051 |
| 2.8 | 1.045 |
| 3.2 | 1.040 |
| 3.5 | 1.036 |
| 4.0 | 1.032 |
