Note: There are two outer diameter systems for 2-1/2-inch galvanized pipe. According to ASME B36.10 American standard, OD is 73.0mm. For EN 10255/GB/T 3091 (British & Chinese standards), the OD is 76.1mm.

Material Grade Introduction
- Q235B complies with GB/T 3091. Its tensile strength ranges from 375~500MPa and yield strength ≥235MPa. It is the most universal grade.
- ASTM A53 Gr.B follows the ASTM A53 standard, with tensile strength ≥415MPa and yield strength ≥240MPa.
- S235JR: Meets EN 10255 standard. Tensile strength is 360~510MPa and yield strength ≥235MPa.
- S195T: Complies with EN 10255, tensile strength approximately 300~430MPa, suitable for welded structural pipes.
- STK400: JIS G3444 grade for structural steel pipe. Tensile strength ≥400MPa and yield strength ≥245MPa.

Q: What is the difference between hot-dip galvanized and electro-galvanized 2.5-inch steel pipe?
A: Hot-dip galvanizing adopts high-temperature immersion coating. It delivers thick zinc layer, strong coating adhesion, and a long anti-corrosion lifespan, ideal for long-term outdoor usage. Electro-galvanizing is a surface spraying process with thin zinc layer and lower cost. It is only suitable for short-term service under dry indoor conditions.
