In February 2026, Glory Steel successfully exported 450 tons of galvanized steel square pipes to Turkey. The shipment was sent in two batches. The first batch, consisting of 200 tons in eight 40-ft containers, arrived in mid-December 2025. The second batch, consisting of 250 tons of galvanized square tubing in ten 40ft containers, arrived on February 25, 2026.

Client Background
The client is a medium-sized building materials distributor, mainly dealing in galvanized pipes, square pipes, angle steel, and other construction steel. Their downstream customers are construction companies and hardware retailers. This client recently undertook a factory construction project.

We attended a building materials exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey in April 2025, where the client noted down our contact information. In mid-October, the client requested the purchase of galvanized square pipes for the factory’s frame supports and perimeter fencing.
Their core requirements were: adaptability to the humid sea breezes of the Black Sea and ease of on-site welding and assembly. After confirming the specifications, a cooperation agreement was reached.
Client Characteristics:
- Six years of experience in the Turkish building materials industry with stable downstream channels.
- They pay particular attention to the thickness of the galvanized layer and the straightness of the pipes, and typically place orders quarterly.
- This was their first time sourcing from China, and they lacked understanding of Chinese production processes and quality inspection standards.

Product Customization
The rainy and salty sea breezes along Turkey’s Black Sea coast place extremely high demands on the corrosion resistance of galvanized square tubing.
- Production: Hot-dip galvanizing is used (3 times more corrosion resistant than electro-galvanizing), with the zinc layer thickness strictly controlled between 85-100μm to ensure uniformity. Each batch of products passes salt spray testing, ensuring an outdoor service life of 15+ years.
- Dimensional Accuracy: To meet customers’ “on-site welding” requirements, the diagonal tolerance of the square tubing is controlled within ±0.5mm, and the tubing body and ends are burr-free.
Quality inspection process
Online inspection and finished-product sampling inspection.
An online thickness gauge monitors the zinc layer in real time. Visual inspection includes checking for incomplete plating, peeling, zinc nodules, and color uniformity. Dimensional inspection includes outer diameter, wall thickness, and length. Bending and flattening tests are performed to ensure the welds are free of cracks.

Packaging and Shipping
Bundles of 25 are secured with two steel straps. Each bundle weighs ≤2 tons. They are wrapped in thick blue PE waterproof woven fabric, heat-sealed, and have ventilation holes at the bottom to prevent condensation. Each bundle has a label in both Chinese and English indicating the product specifications, quantity, gross weight, and batch number. They are stacked and loaded.

Delivery results and customer construction feedback
The client was initially very satisfied with the packaging, noting that it was free of moisture. Subsequent sampling tests were conducted on the zinc layer thickness, dimensional tolerances, and bending performance, with particular high praise for the salt spray test results. His construction team reported smooth welding and precise dimensions.
