The client is a well-known construction group in the Russian Far East, primarily undertaking key national projects.
This procurement of hot-dip galvanized steel pipes is for the water supply and drainage network project in the new urban area of Vladivostok, responsible for both water supply and sewage disposal. Therefore, the steel pipes must meet stringent requirements regarding low-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and service life.
The client found us through a browser search and sent an inquiry, after which both parties engaged in in-depth communication and cooperation.
Order Details
• Product Specifications: DN100 (outer diameter 114.3mm) × wall thickness 4.0mm × length 6m; DN150 (outer diameter 165.1mm)× wall thickness 4.0mm × length 6m.
- Special requirements: Lined with plastic tubing, threaded ends.
• Quality Standards: Zinc coating thickness ≥85μm, tensile strength ≥335MPa, low-temperature impact toughness (-40℃) ≥27J, corrosion resistance grade C2.
• Quantity: 500 tons, delivered in 2 batches.
• Delivery Time: The first batch of 300 tons will arrive at the Volga River port of Moscow within 45 days; the remaining 200 tons will be delivered within 60 days.
• Payment Terms: 30% prepayment + 70% payment upon seeing a copy of the bill of lading.
Solution
I. Product Customization
We strictly adhere to Russian GOST standards in our custom production, using Q235B low-carbon steel coils from major domestic steel mills.The carbon content is controlled between 0.12% and 0.20%, ensuring the steel pipes meet plasticity and toughness standards.
Chemical composition is also analyzed using a spectral analyzer. In actual production, the average zinc layer thickness reaches 92μm, exceeding the standard requirements.
Our production line is fully automated, from coil uncoiling, forming, and welding to length cutting, ensuring stable dimensions and high consistency.
II. Quality Inspection
- During production, the online pipe diameter measuring instrument collects data every 10 seconds, controlling the pipe diameter deviation within ±0.5mm.
- The hot-dip galvanizing process ensures a uniform zinc layer, free from defects such as zinc nodules and zinc scars.
- Welds undergo eddy current testing, ensuring no cracks or porosity.
- Before leaving the factory, each batch undergoes batch testing for galvanized layer adhesion, pipe diameter tolerance, and pressure resistance, with complete test reports issued.
III. Packaging Plan
Considering the long, cold winters in Russia and the long, bumpy journeys, this project uses three layers of protective packaging: inner, middle, and outer.
- Inner plug with plastic end cap
- Outer wrap with waterproof membrane
- Steel strapping for reinforcement and bundling. Each bundle is labeled with Russian specifications, batch number, and quantity for easy customs clearance and on-site counting.
IV. Logistics and Timeliness
This order utilized a combined sea and land transport model. We prepared a complete set of customs clearance documents for the client in advance, ensuring controllable timelines throughout the process. Ultimately, the first batch of 300 tons arrived two days ahead of schedule, and the second batch of 200 tons was delivered smoothly on time.
